TYPE OF SOLAR PANELS

MONOCRYSTALLINE SOLAR PANELS

They are made of a single cell of pure silicon, which is cut into thin wafers. They are the most efficient, with energy conversion rates above 20%.
ADVANTAGES: Increased efficiency in confined spaces, better performance in low light conditions, and improved long-term durability

POLYCRYSTALLINE SOLAR PANELS

They are made of silicon fragments fused together. They have a slightly lower efficiency, generally between 15% and 17%. Its manufacturing process is less expensive.
ADVANTAGES: They are cheaper to manufacture and, therefore, more economical. Simpler manufacturing process and less waste.

THIN FILM SOLAR PANELS

They are made by depositing one or more thin layers of photovoltaic material on a base. They have the lowest efficiency, generally between 10% and 12%.
ADVANTAGES: They can be flexible, which makes them ideal for curved surfaces. They work best at high temperatures and in shaded conditions.
